United States Army Garrison Fort Gordon is the home of the U.S Army Cyber Center of Excellence, the Army’s Signal Regiment, & a variety of units from all four military services. The fort is located about eight miles southwest of Augusta, Georgia. Garrisons, also called an installation or post, are communities that provide many of the same types of services expected from any small town. Law Enforcement, fire protection, sports & recreational facilities, religious activities, child & youth programs are just a small sample of the support and services we provide every day.

Directions

Fort Gordon can be reached from Interstate 20, on the western edge of Augusta, Ga. Jimmie Dyess Parkway (Interstate 20, Exit 194) leads you directly to Fort Gordon’s main entrance. Or take the Bobby Jones Expressway (Interstate 520, Exit 196) then drive east on Interstate 520 to Exit 4 onto Highway 278 (Gordon Highway/Fort Gordon exit). These exits will lead you onto Fort Gordon through the McKenna Gate (Gate 1 – Main Gate). Fort Gordon is approximately 140 miles east of Atlanta, 80 miles southwest of Columbia, S.C., and 122 miles northwest of Savannah, Ga. Located about eight miles southwest of Augusta, Fort Gordon is close to the Augusta metropolitan area and an easy drive to Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains. https://home.army.mil/gordon/index.php/about/visitor-information
