About

USAG Kaiserslautern provides Command and Control, Base Operations Support, Force Protection, and Reception, Staging, Onward Movement and Integration (RSOI) in Support of Contingency Operations. It conducts Area Operations and Support for the Joint Power Projection Platform and Enhances the Readiness and Quality of Life for the Total Force within the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) to meet On Going and Future Requirements.

USAG Kaiserslautern is a fully operational Garrison with more than 800 Soldiers and civilians assigned. The Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) consists of several Army installations located at Kleber, Panzer, Daenner, Landstuhl, Miesau, Pirmasens, Rhine Ordnance and Pulaski Barracks. The Major command is the 21st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) and their mission is to provide logistical and supply support to all elements within the European Theater of Operations.

Directions

From Frankfurt International Airport to Vogelweh Lodging
When departing Frankfurt International Airport, follow signs for A5 toward Basel or Darmstadt. Exit the airport and head towards Autobahn A3 direction Weisbaden/Mainz.
Follow the A3 to Autobahn A67, direction Darmstadt/Russelshein/Mainz. Exit the A60 and enter Autobahn A63 direction Alzey/Ludwigshafen/Kaiserslautern. Continue on the A63 for approximately 44 miles at which time the A63 will merge into Autobahn A6.
Follow the A6 for approximately 4 miles and get off at the Kaiserslautern West exit (B270). Follow B270 over a bridge; merge to the right lane once you are over the bridge. Take the second exit, which has a “Stadtmitte” sign. This road will go under B270, eastbound, in the direction of Kaiserslautern.
Proceed east on this road for approximately 1/4 mile and take the right exit off this road, which is Arizona Blvd. Proceed on Arizona Blvd for approximately ½ mile to security checkpoint.
Note: Proper military identification is required for entrance. Be sure to have your PCS orders and military ID card with you. Base passes are not issued at this gate.
Proceed thru the gate to Third Ave. Turn right on Third Avenue for approximately ½ mile then right on Florida Loop. Proceed straight on Florida Loop until you reach Georgia Circle. Take a right on Georgia Circle which will become First Ave. Building 1002, the reception desk will be approximately ¼ mile on the left.

From Frankfurt Intenational Airport to Landstuhl Lodging
Landstuhl is approximately 18 miles west of the city of Kaiserslautern. From Autobahn A6, take exit 12, which changes into Autobahn A62, in the direction of Pirmasens/Landstuhl West.
Proceed on A62 and take the first exit which is marked Landstuhl/Hauptstuhl Proceed on the “T” intersection and proceed for approximately 2 miles; the access road to gate 3 will be on the left, just past numerous satellite dishes. Enter gate 3.
Note: Proper military identification is required for entrance. Base passes for non-military ID card holders may be issued at this gate.
From Gate 3 continue straight to the stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign which is Munson Circle. Follow Munson Circle past the helipad. Take the priority left and continue straight.
Follow Munson Circle to the left again and you will see Lodging on the left. The reception desk is located in Building 3756.

At the Front Gate
Let the gate guard know you have just arrived. Within the first week of your arrival, you are responsible for updating your ID card (and all dependents) at the Kleber ID Card office.

LRMC provides primary and tertiary (specialized) care, hospitalization and medical treatment for more than 52,000 local American military personnel and their families. It also provides specialized care for the more than 250,000 additional American military personnel and their families in the European Theater.

The staff of the hospital is made up of 50 percent Army, 15 percent Air Force and 35 percent civilian personnel. The hospital has more than 110 physicians, 250 nurses, 40 Medical Service Corps officers, 900 enlisted personnel and 550 civilian employees.

Landstuhl served as the primary medical treatment center for injuries during Operations Desert Shield and Storm, but the facility has also treated non-military personnel injuries. It was the treatment point for hundreds of Bosnian refugees injured in the 1994 Sarajevo marketplace bombing, and it treated American and Kenyan victims of the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombing in Nairobi.
